How do I post to the blog via email?

The Mail-to-Blogger feature turns any email account into a blog-posting application. In Settings | Email you can create a Mail-to-Blogger address which you will use to send posts via email to your blog:

Settings | Email tab

To post to your blog via email, you need to configure your Mail-to-Blogger email address in Settings | Email:

The format of the email address is username.secretword@blogger.com. Note that this email address must be kept secret. Otherwise, anyone who gets it will be able to post as you.

Also be sure to specify whether or not you prefer your email posts to publish automatically. If this option is not checked, then your posts will be saved on your account but will not appear on your blog until you log in to Blogger.com and publish them yourself.

Once you have saved your Settings, you can send email to your blog. The subjects of your email letters will be the titles of your posts, and the body of the emails will be the posts themselves. To include an image in your post, you can attach an image to you your email.

NOTE:

Please email me or call me if you need further clarification on the above

Islamic International School (IIS), Mumbai

As salaamu alaikum
On my most recent visit to India, I visited the Islamic Research Foundation (IRF) headed by Dr Zakir Naik. If any of you have watched their annual school open day, you will agree undoubtedly the excellent standard of education that they are providing their kids. With this in mind, I managed to get their syllabus. I have it with me and will be a topic for the curriculum meeting.

Curriculum meeting

As salaamu alaikum
We are very soon going to have enough material that we can use for our kids. So as soon as we receive it we need to meet up and define what we will be using as a basic minimum, above which each parent can add as per his/her children's needs.
I will keep you posted

The Eemaan Reading Series

The Eemaan Reading Series is a pioneering effort aimed at establishing an educationally sound and visually attractive collection of graded English readers with Islamic moral content for the primary school level (ages 4-12). Some schools also use the books to teach akhlaaq (ethics and character) through stories about Muslim children having to make moral choices from which they learn and grow.

This series was first started in 1996 under the inspiration and supervision of Dr. Abu Ameenah Bilal Philips and since its starting, the series has grown to include Levels PK (Pre-Kindergarden), K1 (Lower Kindergarden), K2 (Upper Kindergarden), 1 & 2 (Grade 1), 3 & 4 (Grade 2) and 6 (Grade 3). The series is currently being used by many English Medium Islamic schools world-wide.

This series is available in the United Kingdom through Al-Hidaayah. The cost of each reader is $ 3.50 or £ 2.00 and the cost of each workbook is $ 4.00 or £ 2.50.

Pizza in his Pocket - English Nasheed

Did you ever hear about the boy
Who ate and ate and ate!
He ate early in the morning
And he ate when it was late.
But he didn't thank Allah for all the yummy food he had
And he ate so much it made him sick!
Which really made him sad.
He ate dates in Damascus, which he thought were very nice.
And hot samoosas in Sumatra, seasoned with a special spice.
He had tacos in Tijuana with some sauce he got from Spain
And a bowl of fresh bakalava that he bartered in Bahrain.
He said gyros made in Cairo are a taste that can't be beat,
And the lemonade in Yemen made a very special treat.
But the turkey made in Turkey
Could still use a pinch of salt.
If you ever visit Malta, you should
Have a chocolate malt!
He had pizza in his pocket, he had ketchup on his shirt,
And he bought an ice-cream sundae, so he wouldn't miss dessert.
He had pizza in his pocket, he had ketchup on his shirt,
And he bought an ice-cream sundae, so he wouldn't miss dessert.

On a bay in the Bahamas,
He ate bon-bons in a bunch.
And then he rushed back
Home so he could make it
Just in time for lunch!
Then one day he saw a little girl, who held her tummy tight,
And he walked over and asked her if everything was alright.
She said she was so hungry and had been hungry for so long,
Then he realized the way he ate was very very wrong.
He looked down at his own tummy and he started feeling pain-
Pain from eating too much food, but he knew not to complain.
So he brought the girl some food, shared it with her family,
Then they thanked Allah for what they had, and then he let them be.
So let's try to learn a lesson and let's try to do what's right.
Eat the food your parents give you without a fuss or fight.
Always be thankful to Allah for all your yummy food,
Share what you have with others, because not sharing is rude.
Being thankful is what's really great.
Eat the veggies on your plate.
And don't be like the boy who always ate and ate and ate!
He had pizza in his pocket, he had ketchup on his shirt,
And he bought an ice-cream sundae, so he wouldn't miss dessert.

The Wheels on the Bus go Round and Round Song | Children songs by Cullen's Abc's

Assalamu alaikum,

Here is one of the video resources that my wife and I used to teach the kids. These are called action songs and are a part of a series called Cullen's ABC's, designed to help kids understand simple concepts, as you will see in the videos.

Note: For those brothers who may feel that it is not appropriate to use resources that expose their kids to a non-muslim woman who is not modestly dressed as per Islamic standards, you could get the wife to see it and teach the kids.In fact, this would also stop your kids from sitting in front of the computer screen for long periods which could be harmful for their development and creativity.Lastly, they will benefit from interacting with a real person which is way superior to any educational toy, electronic or otherwise.

wassalamualaikum,
Abu Maryam
